Success in Schools

This example features students' words. Learn more about S.T.O.P. and Relax©, from small group to school-wide initiatives in preschool, special education, and general education settings, at S.T.O.P. and Relax© in Action. A fifth-grade teacher initiated S.T.O.P. and Relax© in his classroom to help counter his students’ anxiety about taking a high-stakes State examination.  This diverse class included general education students and special education students with disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder, learning disability, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. A week after the test, the teacher asked the students to write about how S.T.O.P. and Relax© had helped them.  The responses were overwhelmingly positive!
